As part of PETCA’s commitment to continuous education and professional development of Paediatric Endocrinologists in Africa, the Nigerian Local Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the 2nd Sub –Saharan Endocrine & Diabetes Africa Summer School scheduled for 11th (Starting at 2pm)-12th March 2019 in Lagos, Nigeria.
The course is intended for Paediatric Endocrinologists.
This will be a two-day workshop, conducted in English. It will be followed by the 10th ASPAE Annual Scientific Conference from 13th – 15th March 2019.
We shall have facilitators from various societies: ISPAD, ESPE and ASPAE. The programme will cover various topics in endocrine and diabetes through interactive lectures, small group sessions where both facilitators and participants will present cases.
Each participant will be expected to prepare a case presentation from a variety of paediatric endocrinology, metabolic diseases and/or diabetes mellitus topics.
There is limited number of vacancies: maximum 20 participants. However, we will try to have representation from as many countries as possible. Priority will be given to applicants who meet the following criteria:
- The applicant should have submitted an abstract for the 10th ASPAE conference. (See guidelines for abstract submission in the website)
- The applicant is currently active in endocrine and/or diabetes practice in the home country.
ASPAE will provide, free accommodation and meals for the accepted applicants. The first five accepted applicants will 300 US dollar travel reimbursement.
