ASPAE 2023 CONFERENCE
The ASPAE 2023 conference is scheduled to open on Feb 9 of next year.
It will deliver 3 days of excellent exciting research work, seminars, and Panel discussions in the field of Paediatric endocrinology across Africa.
Many delegates primarily pediatric endocrinologists will travel to the town of Yaounde in Cameroon for this annual event. This conference will enhance knowledge updates, networking, interaction, and collaboration.
Representatives of other sister Paediatric endocrinology societies in Europe and America are expected to grace the occasion.
The president of ASPAE who also happens to be the chief host is looking forward to a meaningful deliberation and conference and welcoming all delegates from all sub-Saharan African states.

ASPAE Webinar Nov 2022 PCC Participants copy
NOVEMBER WEBINAR
The Monthly Continuing Medical Education webinar organized by the ASPAE had about 80 people in attendance. This month’s Webinar, hosted by the Paediatric endocrinologist in Nigeria, specifically, Lagos University Teaching Hospital was chaired by Professor Abiola Oduwole. Dr. Oyenusi gave a comprehensive note on Phaeochromocytoma and Paraganglioma in children and 2 cases managed in the same hospital were also reviewed.
World Diabetes Day (WDD)
The 2022 WDD was marked on November 14th. ASPAE members across Africa as shown in the pictures below had organized health talks, diabetic walks, health screenings, and diabetic camps.

We have continued to grow in numbers and strength in the past year and successfully hosted our first virtual international ASPAE conference and several webinars. This year’s conference is around the corner. Coming up between 23rd to 25th February 2022 and Uganda is poised to be the host.

It is with great pleasure and humility I address you, no longer as the editor of our newsletter but as the president of our society. At the recently concluded meeting of the African Paediatric and Adolescent Paediatric Endocrinlolgy (ASPAE) that was held at the Sir Keturnile Masire Universty Hospital, Gaborone, Botswana on 12th March 2020, I emerged as the new President of this great association.
