As part of PETCA’s commitment to continuous education and professional development of Paediatric Endocrinologists in Africa, the ASPAE Academic committee is pleased to announce the 3rd Sub –Saharan Endocrine & Diabetes Africa Summer School scheduled for 9th – 10th March 2020 in Gaborone, Botswana.
The course is intended for Paediatric Endocrinologists.
This will be a two-day workshop, conducted in English. It will be followed by the 11th ASPAE Annual Scientific Conference from 11th – 13th March 2020.
The summer school will have facilitators from various societies: ISPAD, ESPE and ASPAE. The programme will cover various topics in endocrine and diabetes through interactive lectures, small group sessions where both facilitators and participants will present cases.
Each participant will be expected to prepare a case presentation from a variety of paediatric endocrinology, metabolic diseases and/or diabetes mellitus topics.
There is limited number of vacancies: maximum 20 participants. Priority will be given to applicants who meet the following criteria:
- The applicant should have submitted an abstract for the 11th ASPAE conference. (See guidelines for abstract submission in the website)
- The applicant is currently active in endocrine and/or diabetes practice in the home country.
ASPAE will provide, free accommodation and meals for the accepted applicants.
